A 200-year-old violin valued at 18 million baht (US$514,580) has been returned to its owner, a celebrated Chinese violinist, after he left it behind in a Bangkok taxi. Thong Lor police and JS100 traffic radio worked together to locate the taxi driver who had transported the violinist. CCTV footage was unable to identify the taxi’s license plate, so help was sought from JS100 radio, who successfully found the driver, Uthen Denkhunthod. The driver returned the precious violin to the violinist’s friend and received a gift voucher in gratitude.
