In a remarkable act of bravery, a tabby cat saved a bedridden 12-year-old girl from a venom-spitting cobra snake in Saraburi Province, Thailand. The cat, a female white and brown tabby, alerted the girl by standing guard over the snake and raising the alarm. The girl quickly fled the room and called her parents for help. The parents trapped the snake inside and called the Saraburi Reptile Rescue Team. The Siamese Spitting Cobra was eventually captured and released back into the wild. The girl’s mother washed out the cat’s eyes to prevent blindness from the venom.
