Outgoing Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan has announced that he will resign as a party-list MP, but will continue to serve as the leader of the Palang Pracharath party. Speaking before a meeting of the Thai Olympic Committee, Prawit stated that he has accomplished enough for the country and will now focus on his party work. While he did not provide a specific date for his resignation, he mentioned it would be happening soon. His departure will make way for Santi Promphat, the deputy party leader, to take the seat. Thai Liberal party leader Sereepisuth Temeeyaves has also resigned as a party-list MP.
