Pictures courtesy of Sanook. A 49 year old woman named Aun was caught selling aquatic animals captured from a sanctuary area in Rayong province. She was spotted by Suwat, a local temple boy, while capturing animals from the sanctuary. Despite being warned about the consequences, the woman continued her activities, leading to the matter being reported to the police. Aun argued that she was not in the wrong as she was capturing the animals from another side of the river within the sanctuary area. However, the police decided to take Aun and the captured animals to the Rayong City Police Station. The investigating officer charged her under Section 56 of the Fisheries Act.
