The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a fifth warning for heavy rain and flash floods due to a strong monsoon affecting various regions. The warning advises caution in thunderstorm-prone zones, particularly in mountainous and low-lying areas. The monsoon trough, coupled with a southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, will lead to increased rainfall and heavy showers, posing a risk of flooding and forest runoffs. Provinces in the Northern, Northeastern, Eastern, and Southern regions are likely to experience heavy rainfall. Mariners are also urged to exercise caution in the seas.
