Picture courtesy of Sanook: The Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) has been informed about a criminal gang involved in purse-snatching operations in shopping malls and populous communities in Bangkok. The gang operates with one person distracting the victim while another steals their handbags. MPB Commander Sub-Lieutenant Theeradej Thamsuthee dispatched MPB detectives and Detective 111 to investigate. The MPB Commander, Police Lieutenant Wichit Thirakhajonwong, apprehended Buoy Yangha and Mary Jean, notorious purse-snatching suspects, and charged them with illegal entry and stay in the country. Clothing and stolen mobile phones were seized as evidence. The suspects admitted to over 100 crimes. The MPB warns criminals to respect the laws of Thailand.
