Initially justified as a birthday theme, the incident sparked widespread backlash, leading the individuals involved to apologize and promise it wouldn’t happen again. The controversy involved female karaoke employees wearing Girl Scout uniforms, which are traditionally worn by young girls. Investigations revealed that one of the employees, who claimed to have ties to a senior police officer, was responsible. The women were eventually located and charged under the Scout Act, leading to a fine of 100 baht ($3) each.
