YouTube is reportedly working on a new gaming service called “Playables,” which allows users to play games on mobile devices or desktop computers. The service is currently being tested internally with Google employees. Playables offers instant-play games through the YouTube website or mobile apps, providing an alternative to video content. It is different from the now-defunct Stadia cloud gaming service, as Playables focuses on simple games rather than console titles. The launch date for Playables has not been announced yet.
