Mummy fans are excited as Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz return for a new installment in the franchise set for release in 2028, nearly 30 years after their original roles in the 1999 film. Meanwhile, Lee Cronin’s new film, titled “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy,” will be released sooner on April 17, 2026. The movie focuses on the young daughter of a journalist who vanishes into the desert, returning eight years later. The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Cota, and May Calamawy and will be distributed by Warner Bros. before heading to HBO Max.
