Thailand has reported its first fatal case of Monkeypox, a viral disease that primarily affects animals but can also be transmitted to humans. The 34-year-old man, who was also battling HIV and syphilis, experienced symptoms including fever, headaches, itchiness, and a rash before being diagnosed with Monkeypox. Despite treatment with specific medication and antibiotics, his condition worsened, leading to his death. Monkeypox poses a growing infectious threat in Thailand, particularly for men engaging in unprotected sexual encounters. The country has procured antiviral medication to help mitigate the crisis. The global Monkeypox outbreak has already claimed 152 lives.
