The scammers created a character named “Somchai Saetang” and altered the CEO’s image and voice to add credibility. The incident prompted warnings about common scam indicators in online investments, urging users to verify information before making decisions. Police in Lamphun also warned about scammers using AI to impersonate police officers in video calls.
