Fox’s 6-Part Biblical Miniseries Can’t Live Up To Prime Video’s Shows

Renewed interest in biblical adaptations has surged, particularly following the success of The Chosen. FOX’s miniseries, The Faithful: Women of the Bible, airing over three Sundays leading up to Easter, focuses on the matriarchs from Genesis, including Sarah and Hagar. Despite striking visuals and a talented cast, including Minnie Driver and Natacha Karam, the series struggles with deviations from the source material, undermining emotional depth. While aiming to spotlight these biblical women, The Faithful often feels more like a missed opportunity than a faithful retelling of their stories.
