Guy Ritchie and Henry Cavill’s Epic WWII Movie Proves Why It Was Always Meant for Streaming

Ahead of their third film, director Guy Ritchie and star Henry Cavill reflect on the mixed success of their previous collaborations. Although their second film underperformed at the box office, grossing under $30 million against a $60 million budget, it has excelled on home video, accumulating a 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Their upcoming project is an action-thriller titled In the Grey, slated for May 15 release. Meanwhile, Ritchie is also working on a dark comedy featuring Benedict Cumberbatch. The duo’s first collaboration, The Man from UNCLE, similarly struggled theatrically but found success later.
