Police in Pattaya detained nine people, including Myanmar and Karen nationals, after a clash between migrant workers wielding bladed weapons on Walking Street. The incident occurred outside Siam Bayshore Hotel, where two groups had arranged to meet over a previous dispute. Some individuals managed to escape during the police intervention, leaving behind knives and other weapons. The detainees claimed officials interrupted their attempt to resolve the issue peacefully, causing panic and scattering the groups. The suspects and seized items were handed over for legal proceedings, with efforts ongoing to locate those who fled. Tourists were also involved in a separate altercation on Walking Street, involving Russian men and Thai rappers.
